The worst thing which you can do at this time is to grab your credit card and let rip. You would be much better paying a visit to your local model flying club to see what happens there. We have a trainer aircraft available on a "Buddy Box" system which we can use to allow prospective flyers to have a go before committing to what is a considerable purchase.

By visiting a club you will see what the local flyers are using and they will probably recommend where to go to make any purchases.
